Last year, Bna and I thought of going to Japan. I mean, I’ve always wanted to. As I’ve stated in my cover letter; “I remember watching Memoirs of a Geisha 13 years ago and telling myself, I will come to Japan when I grow up”. Oh ‘di ba, baka naiyak pa yung consul sa cover letter ko.

So last year… there’s this thrift shop near our house and we were already open to the idea of going to Japan for our anniversary. We bought a trench coat. And we kept it. We kept it until this time. Even after countless decluttering, I never threw it away. We were supposed to apply for a visa last year but with my dad’s passing, I just couldn’t do it financially yet.

Bna and I swear by the law of attraction. From buying that trench coat, to printing the japanese flag and posting it on our mood board, to replacing our wallpapers, to changing our passwords with anything Japan related. We believe in the law of attraction but we also believe in hard work. Excluding my birthday, we didn’t have any getaway this year. We worked long hours from clients to clients. Literally, every week, I’d go to airbnb or booking.com just to look for any getaway we can go to but we end up spending the night in instead. I cannot count how many times I got envious of all the beach ig stories I’ve seen.

Edit//

Wow. Right now it’s April 2021. We’ve been to Japan thrice. Look at how that turned out. Pretty cool, huh?
